Google has officially released Gemini Enterprise for business users, making the mobile apps available on both Android and iOS. At the same time, Workspace customers can now access @Google Chat directly within the Gemini app, streamlining collaboration for enterprise users.
What is Gemini Enterprise?
First announced last October, Gemini Enterprise is designed for business users who need professional-level AI tools. The app offers access to Google’s first-party agents for Data Insights and Science, as well as third-party integrations from partner platforms.
The mobile app also includes a low-code visual builder for creating agents, a feature previously part of Google Agentspace. Businesses can now pull data not only from Google Workspace but also from Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and SAP, making it a versatile tool for enterprise AI workflows.
App Details
The new Gemini Enterprise apps are available on Android and iOS. The interface closely resembles the standard Gemini app but with a more business-focused experience. The app icon keeps the familiar spark shape but features a blue gradient for differentiation.
Currently, the apps are Early Access by invitation only, requiring users to “Open the link sent by your company admin to sign in.” Android users can find the package under com.google.android.apps.agentspace, with an app size of 33 MB. Unlike the standard Gemini app, Gemini Enterprise appears to function as a standalone mobile application.
Google Chat Integration
Workspace customers now have access to @Google Chat within the Gemini app. This integration falls under the Connected Apps section in Google Workspace, alongside Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive, Keep, and Tasks. Key features include:
- Summarizing chats
- Retrieving chats based on content, senders, and dates
- Using prompts like “Summarize unread chats”, “Summarize my chat with [name]”, or “Update me on [topic]”
At present, these features are only available for Workspace accounts, including:
- Business Starter, Standard, and Plus
- Enterprise Starter, Standard, and Plus
- Education Fundamentals, Standard, and Plus
- Frontline Starter and Standard
- Essentials, Enterprise Essentials, and Enterprise Essentials Plus
- Nonprofits
Personal Google accounts do not currently have access to @Google Chat in the Gemini app.
Why It Matters
With Gemini Enterprise and @Google Chat integration, businesses now have a centralized AI workspace for insights, agent creation, and streamlined communication. By connecting multiple platforms like Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and SAP, Google is expanding the utility of AI tools for enterprises while maintaining a familiar mobile experience for users.
